Fall/Winter 09-10 New Line Bridal Sashes and Belts

I decided to try something fun and new. I love Bridal sashes and all the fancy belts out there and see that Brides are looking for new and unique pieces...so...i decided to create a custom line of belts and sashes for the fall/winter of 09-10 season.

I have listed my first one which is White venetain lace with a custom handmade brooch made of vintage laces and beads. the brooch is detachable and wearable forever. I am currently working on my second one which will be a stain ribbon belt with lace and swarovski crystals and pearls.
I adore making them and look forward to seeing if Brides like them

New Pieces for Summer 09

New for this summer, i have started making Couture braided nautical knotted headbands. They seem to be doing VERY well...especially the metallic gold one. I find i'm having a hard time keeping them in stock. I hope to create many more of these in an array of color.

The English Dept. Boutique

Oh, i came across this wonderful designer on Etsy one day and low and behold found out she is located in Portland, Oregon...right down the road. What an amazing designer. I need now to go visit her boutique. She designs all her own pieces but also sells in her shop amazing artists works. Check out her site and visit her on etsy for a unique and couture style.

Photography

Just recently completed a piece for Sam with Everlasting Images. A rendition of my Katy Perry piece, this one included a vintage rhinestone piece and maribou feathers. They were great to work with and after checking out the site, realized they are an amazing photography studio. Everyone should check them out. Soon, i will be posting one of his shots with the hairpiece i created for him. Check back soon.

OH my gosh...you must check out this fellow Etsian "OhFaro" her work is absolutely stunning. I drool when i see her pieces. Each piece is a work of art where she has taken maybe a broken piece of vintage jewelry and recreated it into the most stunning of pieces. Bridal Dress Paintings

Using Vintage Jewelry

I find using vintage jewelry in my creations so satisfying. Not only am I using something from the past, but also creating a little part of true history. I research past era bridal veils and discover that many of them contained pieces of beautiful jewelry. My favorite of course in rhinestone broaches. I collect anything i can come across and have such fun designing pieces. SO..if you come across a piece of history, think of the story behind it. Ive just completed a couple pieces including antique broaches. My newest photo is of one of these pieces that just sold yesterday to a wonderful young bride in Canada!!!!

Portland Bridal Show

Portland Bridal show is coming in January. I am currently waiting to see if their is space for me as this will be my first year there. This is a huge 4 day event. I attended it once and was honestly discouraged at the fact that their were hardly any booths there selling a product. Mostly it was for info on whats available to brides. I disagree with this somewhat as I feel their should be an equal mixture of both. My friend and I went their hoping to find things for her wedding and their was nothing. I will hopefully be there with over 100 different styles of veils, fascinators, birdcages etc...Hope to see you all there to.

I had a great time at the beach...scoured shops old and new to find perfect items. Ended up coming away with some vintage earrings of which i've made two different fascinators already and a gorgeous Starburst Vintage rhinestone broach. I will be coming up with something special for it soon. Right now I'm working on a tulled beaded bridal shawl of which the vanilla rose fascinator works beautifully with. Its so wonderful designing and then creating my visions. Hope you like these new couple pieces. Convo for any questions or orders..

Weekend Retreat

Tomorrow I leave for the wonderful ocean side town of Lincoln city, OR. For 4 days, i will be not only vacationing, but scouraging wonderful little shops for unique ocean and beach pieces to include in my new section of "Beach Brides" As i created my first piece....Gorgeous handstrung beads and sequins intwinned around a gorgeous 3 piece hairband. I love this piece. I'm working on creating additional pieces to go with this as i write. Maybe a beautiful bouquet...maybe a bridesmaid hairpiece...i guess you will just have to check back and see. Watch for updates as i finish new and stunning items. Remember, they are always unique and one of a kind.

Winter is coming

Winter is right around the corner and so are those wonderful winter white weddings. Just in time, i created this fabulous Birdcage blusher complete with fur, feathers and tiny red and gold berries. Stunning Swarovski crystals also adorn the berrie center. What a magical time of year and what a wonderful Birdcage blusher this will be for the upcoming bridal season. New Trends

Well i've been following what seems to be hot this year for brides and its Birdcages, feathers, vintage, color and lots more color. I especially love the idea of the colored Tulled slip underneath the wedding dress. A fellow Etsy member actually has these for sale and their gorgeous. I just completed my first Veil involving two different colors. I combined 4 layers of alternating tulle pink and white. How sweet is that? I'm working on one right now for a client that is shimmer pink with shimmer gold over the top. What a stunning combo. Look for my newest creations as i update frequently.

So I recently found out through a custom order that brides now are looking for a little color. I'm in the process of making a two toned veil for display purposes. Gold shimmer veiling with pink underneath. Cant wait to see finished product. I will of course post pic when completed. Holiday creations

So, my newest idea was to create something for the holiday seasons coming up. First thinking about all of those lovely ladies that enjoy the "All hallows Eve" for their wedding spectacular...I created two new Bridal pieces. First is a gorgeous Red and black feathers Fascinator, to which i added tiny strands of peacock feathers to the center. Tulle I used is black with little bits of shinny orange red Crystals embedded. This piece is stunning. Check it out on my etsy site to view full pics and price.

Next I added a Vintage Couture Styled Birdcage Blusher. Midnight Ambiance was my inspiration behind this piece. With the gorgeous tulle just sexy like covering the face, I handcrafted a Rose out of the tulle and attached it to the top. Of course, its not complete without my signature Feathers that I love to add. To this one, I held back and only added one. In the center of the Rose are tiny crystals beads that I handsewed for a glorious stunning look. Any comments on my works, whether critiqueing or admiring would be greatly appreciated.
